Garden Shows and Good Life Garden

Hi. This e-mail list was started in 2008 when we started making community events in The People’s Garden. TEN YEARS! In that time, The People’s Garden continues to be a space where neighbors can manifest their own ideas for the betterment of the block. With the heavy influx of people to the neighborhood, the character and history of The People’s Garden is as important as ever, and if it is meaningful to you to keep in touch, please let us hear from you! We are also excited to introduce you to a new garden project just around the corner— Good Life Garden, where neighbors (including some members of The People’s Garden), led by Kofi Thomas, have begun expanding community-building through more green space. More green space! So check out the events below, and we’ll look forward to seeing you at a garden before the chill sets in…

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 at GOOD LIFE GARDEN

With a lot of hard work, Good Life Garden nearly erupted from neglect and misuse into an urban farm over just a few months. Come meet Kofi and other members of Good Life Garden to hear the whole story and find out how you can contribute…and dance, dance, dance to the music of the Talking Heads!
